How it works

Gradual, gentle, effective.

Laser tattoo removal delivers targeted light energy into the ink, breaking it into tiny particles your immune system clears away naturally over time.

Because tattoos sit at different depths and inks respond differently, removal happens over a series of sessions rather than all at once — fading a little more with each visit.

Every tattoo is different, which is exactly why personalized treatment plans matter.

Good to know

Tattoo removal FAQs.

How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need 6–10 sessions, spaced 8–12 weeks apart. Your skin sheds the broken-down ink in cycles, so consistency between sessions is key to the best results.
Does it work on all skin tones and tattoos?
We use professional-grade technology that lets us safely treat a wide range of tattoo colors on a variety of skin tones. We'll assess your specific tattoo and skin at your consultation.
Is it painful?
Most clients describe it as a quick snap or zap, like a rubber band. It's over fast, and numbing is available for sensitive areas.
Is there downtime?
Not really. You might have some temporary redness or mild swelling that settles within a few days, and you can resume normal activities right away — just avoid sun exposure, exfoliation, and heat (hot showers, workouts) for 24 hours.
How should I prep for my appointment?
A few simple steps before you come in:
  • Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before.
  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 2 weeks.
  • Skip retinoids, acids, and active skincare on the area for 3–5 days prior.
  • If you're extra sensitive, skip caffeine and workouts right before.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Laser tattoo removal isn't recommended during pregnancy, due to hormonal changes and limited research. Postpartum and breastfeeding clients can usually begin after clearance from their provider — we're happy to talk through your options.
