FAQs
What is scar and stretch mark camouflage?
It’s a paramedical tattooing technique that uses custom-blended pigments to match your natural skin tone and blend visible scars or stretch marks into the surrounding skin. It doesn’t remove the marks—it just helps them look less noticeable.
What types of scars or stretch marks can be camouflaged?
Most flat, light-colored scars and stretch marks can be treated, including:
• Stretch marks from pregnancy or weight changes
• Scars from surgery, C-sections, or injuries
• Certain acne or trauma-related scars
We can’t treat raised (keloid), But we’ll evaluate your skin during a consultation to see if you’re a good fit.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Results are long-lasting, usually several years. Like all tattoos, the pigment may fade slowly over time depending on your skin, sun exposure, and skincare products.
Will the pigment match my skin perfectly?
We custom-blend pigments during your session to match your unique skin tone. While nothing is 100% exact, the goal is to make the treated area much less noticeable in natural lighting.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need 2–3 sessions for the best results, spaced about 6–8 weeks apart. Some areas may need touch-ups depending on how your skin holds pigment.
What’s the healing process like?
Healing typically takes 7–14 days. During that time, you may experience mild redness, flaking, or itching. We’ll provide aftercare instructions and healing balm to keep your skin comfortable.
Can you treat all skin tones?
Yes! We work with all skin tones and ethnicities. Custom pigment matching is part of every treatment, and we’re trained to work with a wide range of undertones.
Will my scars or stretch marks be completely invisible?
Camouflage significantly reduces their appearance, but it doesn’t completely erase texture or make them vanish. The goal is blending—so they look much less noticeable in your everyday skin.
WHEN CAN I GET THIS DONE?
Scars and stretch marks must be fully healed—typically at least 12–18 months old, flat, and no longer red or raised. If you’re pregnant or nursing, it’s best to wait until after.
Is there any downtime?
No major downtime—most people go about their day right after. You’ll want to avoid swimming, tanning, or heavy sweating during the healing phase, and follow aftercare closely for best results.
