good to know

waxing faqs

what areas do you wax?
we offer full-body and facial waxing, including:
  • brows
  • lip & chin
  • underarms
  • legs & arms
  • bikini, Brazilian, and full body
let us know what you're looking for and we'll get you smooth in no time.
does waxing hurt?
it can sting a little, especially your first time, but it's quick and we use high-quality wax and calming techniques to minimize discomfort. most clients say it gets easier with each visit.
how long does my hair need to be?
about 1/4 inch — roughly the length of a grain of rice, or about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. if it's too short, the wax won't grip it well.
how often should I get waxed?
every 4 weeks is ideal to maintain smooth results and reduce regrowth over time. sticking to a schedule makes it less painful and more effective.
can I get waxed while on my period?
yes, you can — just know you might be a bit more sensitive. for a bikini or Brazilian, please wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup and give us a heads up.
how should I prep for my wax?
  • exfoliate gently 24 hours before.
  • avoid lotions or oils the day of.
  • don't shave beforehand — let that hair grow.
  • wear loose-fitting clothes to your appointment.
we also recommend avoiding caffeine and alcohol, which can make you more sensitive.
what should I avoid after waxing?
for 24–48 hours, avoid:
  • hot tubs, saunas, or intense workouts
  • tight clothing over the waxed area
  • tanning or direct sun exposure
  • scented lotions or exfoliants
we'll give you full aftercare instructions to keep your skin calm and bump-free.
will waxing make my hair grow back thicker?
nope. with consistent waxing, hair tends to grow back finer, softer, and sparser over time.
is waxing safe for sensitive skin?
yes — just let us know if you're prone to sensitivity or have had reactions before. we use gentle waxes and can adjust our approach to keep your skin happy.
can I wax if I'm using retinol or acne products?
you'll need to pause retinol, Accutane, or other strong exfoliants before facial waxing to avoid lifting the skin. let us know what you're using and we'll guide you on safe timing.
it's my first wax — what should I expect?
we totally get it. we'll walk you through everything, keep it quick, and make you feel comfortable. it's normal to be nervous, but most clients say it's way easier than expected.
